The late May Bank Holiday

Last weekend 10th - 11th May, was a brilliant weekend for being on the cut with your camera.
The blossom was on the trees, the canals looked like bright green tunnels in the sunlight, and the first broods of ducklings and goslings were on the water. The cut itself was very quiet - we passed very few boats during the day, so we saw it all - 3 kingfishers, squirrels crossing the canal through the trees, and 10 goslings trying to follow Mum onto the bank with Dad sweeping up behind. I wish my camera took photos of what I see, not what I miss framing in the viewfinder - but then if you don’t click that shutter, you’ll NEVER win a photo competition!
SO get out there and try - you’ve got a whole May Day Bank Holiday to get out there snapping!
