Photo competition - Terms and conditions
1. Entries must be received by 31st October 2008.
2. By entering the competition, the winners consent to take part in any publicity accompanying or resulting from this promotion, and for his/her name to be used for publicity purposes by Save Our Waterways in printed and/or online formats.
3. The winners will be selected within 7 days of the closing date and will be notified immediately to the e-mail address provided with their application. The winners are required to contact Save Our Waterways to confirm acceptance of their prize within 14 days of notification. In the event of non-acceptance within the specified period, or if the person is not contactable, or does not respond to the prize-winning notification within the prescribed time, Save our Waterways reserves the right to reallocate the prize awarded to the next randomly drawn valid entry at their sole discretion.
4. No purchase is necessary. Only one entry in each prize catergory per person allowed.
5. Entries to be submitted by uploading photos to Save Our Waterways’s Flickr page, emailing photos to Save Our Waterways with application details or by post. Entries can be submitted by post as electronic media (CD, DVD, memory stick) or as photographic prints but these will not be returned.
6. The competition is open to all residents of England, Scotland, Wales, Isle of Man and Channel Islands excluding the exective of Save Our Waterways and their immediate families, agents or anyone professionally connected with the competition.
7. There is one prize for each category which will be advised shortly
8. The prizes are non-transferable and there is no cash alternative.
9. Open to adults aged 18+ or children when their submission is countersigned by their parent or guardian.
10. It is a condition of entry that the terms and conditions of the competition are accepted as final and that entrants agree to abide by the rules. No correspondence will be entered into.
11. Save Our Waterways will not accept responsibility for loss of entries through technical fault, postal/transmission delays or incomplete, illegible or other damaged entries. Proof of entry is not automatically proof of receipt.
12. In the event of unforeseen circumstances Save Our Waterways reserves the right to offer alternative prizes of equal or greater value.
13. Any personal information collected as part of the entry process will be used solely for that purpose and will not be used other than for conducting the competition in a reasonable and efficient manner. All personal information collected will be destroyed after the competition has finished.
14. English law applies.
